Safety is the number one concern at Roadwire. Since the inception of advanced airbag technology in vehicles, Roadwire has been at the forefront of safety testing. Utilizing independent laboratories, certified by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation, safety testing has been performed continuously for over ten years. Never once has a Roadwire leather interior failed a test for Advanced Airbag Deployment compliance or Occupant Classification System compliance. This in itself measures the success and safety record of Roadwire and its perfect factory replacement interiors.
Roadwire has tested multiple platforms, which include Ford, GM, and Mitsubishi. These tests included static ambient temperature airbag deployment, -30° temperature static airbag deployment, and Federal Motor Vehicle Standard (FMVSS) testing for Occupant Classification Systems. In all of these tests, it was proven that Roadwire leather interiors are safe, in most cases outperforming the airbag deployment of OEM cloth and leather, and that there are no significant changes or differences in Occupant Classification System measurements (voltage changes or passenger classification). In fact, the sport foam that we manufacture for programs like Saleen® and Roush® have most recently passed the same stringent OEM style testing, including airbag deployment!
Safety is proven in many ways. Since 1969 and after placing hundreds of thousands of leather interiors "on the road", Roadwire has never once had an incident of airbag related or accident related malfunction. Our safety record speaks for itself, as we continuously receive interiors back for replacement, after an accident has caused airbag deployment. We are proud of our safety heritage and extremely confident in our abilities. Roadwire is ensuring our future and yours. |
